I currently changed my timing belt and made sure all marks were lined up, I lost my ignition key so I picked up a ignition cylinder from scrap yard and now it won’t fire, appreciate any help.

If the vehicle has the IMMOBILIZER function (anti-theft) you cannot do what you did without some reprogramming and until that is done the vehicle will not be allowed to start..

Not knowing what year your vehicle is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Reprogramming is done with a capable scan tool and a subscription to as built info.
This can cost over $900.00 and only people that have the equipment , subscription and access to security info can successfully reprogram a vehicle security system.
Certified locksmiths with that clearance and dealerships can do it. Check with a locksmith or two around you to see if they can do reprogramming and how much they charge to come to your location.
Newer vehicles were made to prevent theft, but also prevent the average person from helping him/her self anymore.
