Default 2005 Getz 1.6 Warm Start problems

hi guys,

My Getz has been giving me warm start problems for about a month now. I've been trying to diagnose it myself, but I've come up empty. I have the following ideas.
The ECT sensor
Starter
Vapor lock

Can anybody assist before i tackle these 3 items. I do not want to go spending unnecessary money on parts when i dont need to. I am no mechanic, but i try to do some things myself to save money

Because the fuel lines are under pressure, vapor lock is usually no longer an issue.

As far as the starter, that will usually give some clues even when cold.

That , so far, would kinda leave us with the fuel or ignition system.

If possible can you get your vehicle checked for any codes in the computer ?
We can have codes in the memory without the check engine light coming on.
Places like Autozone will check your vehicle for codes at no charge.

What do you have to do to get it started?
Can you do this?

Hi, thanks so much. Will check my local mechanic soonest.

So at warm start I would have to wait between 10 and 15mins before the car starts. Usually at warm start it just swings, but no start. After the 10 to 15mins it will start up with no problem

I would suspect there is a faulty electrical component within the ignition system.

Not smart to go replacing possibly good parts, but some checks to verify the crank sensor is not opening up when heated, or a component within the ignition system.

What I found worked to pinpoint a faulty crank sensor was to pour some cold water on the sensor and if the vehicle started , we knew what needed to be replaced.

Hi Hanky,

I cannot thank you enough.
I did the water trick after switching the getz off when it was warm a few times in one day. After, the getz started immediately every time.
I replaced the crankshaft sensor immediately after and its been two days now with no warm start issues.

Once again.

Thank you kindly for your advice and communication
