earlier this week while turning into a parking areawe hit a ratherdeep pot hole, not noticing any damage or change in how the car felt while driving continued with no problems. fast forwardmaybe 4-5 days lateri got home from work and my wife said that she heard a funny creaking noise coming from the front right hand side of the carwhen she was turning so i had a quick drive and also noticed the noise but also noticed it when changing gears and also when braking was thinking maybe cv joint but not sure any help would be greatly appreciated.
oh forgot to say that the car is a 2005 getz

 

That's too hard to diagnose without actually hearing the noise or driving the car. It could be a number of things, not just the CV joint. I would suggest taking it a mechanic ASAP and getting it looked at.

wifetook the car to our local suspensionshop for them to have a look. the noise was coming from a damaged cross member washer rubbing on the cross member when the car was under any sort of load. they replaced the washer in short time and handed back the car at no cost. for anybody in perth western australia looking for a reputablesuspension shop don't look past pedders suspension in cannington they are fantastic.
