Default 2007 Santa Fe horns/alarm sensitivity

Seems that the factory installed "alarm" goes off whenever certain vehicles drive by. Must be sensitive to the vibrations. This causes the horn(s) to sound(and short out eventually) and blows out the fuse too. The horns are easily replaced but does anyone know how to tweak the sensitivity? Must be a switch of some kind......

There is no motion sensor in the 2007 Santa Fe. Are you sure it's the factory alarm? If it is, then one of the door (or hood and trunk) sensors is probably loose and that's what setting off the alarm.

I'm not sure of anything. Can you tell me where the sensors are located? I've heard something similar to this before. Might be an easy fix.

The door sensors are the ones that operate the interior lights and display the "door open" light in the dash (5 & 8 below). There's also a switch on the tail gate that displays the "tail gate openr" light on the dash (9 below). Lastly, there is a switch in the engine compartment for the hood (1 below).

Generally it's the hood switch because
- the hood either not fully closed
- the switch on the body got bent down while someone was working on the car
- the rubber bumper on the hood that touches the switch is missing

Thanks for the info. I'll check out the hood sensor first and see how it goes from there. Thanks again for your help.
