So my car has had quite a few problems that just progressively got worse due to not having the funds to fix it but now I think my car is actually dead. So I have subwoofers in my car, 4 12s to be exact. And awhile back I accidentally shorted my everything by touching red to black on the amp while my car was on. This fried my 3000 watt amp, my 500 watt amp, passed through the compassitor, fried my radio and then stopped at the fuse going to the battery, along with frying multiple fuses in the fuse box located inside the vehicle. I changed the fuses, got a new radio and new amps. Okay all good. Now months later (two days ago) I have both sets of 12s in my car but only one set was plugged in, into a smaller 1500 watt amp. I decided to put all 4 into the amp, which I have done previously many times, just for the he'll of it. Well when I went to start my car, the car started after about a minute I put it into drive and then the entire car just shut off. I didn't hear a spark or anything. Didn't smell any burnt-ness. All I heard was the engine stop and the noise a car makes when the key is in the ignition and the doors open. So I put my car into park and took the key out and check the amp and subs. All seemed okay. Checked the ground and that was fine. Checked all wiring and that seemed fine. Checked the interior and exterior fuses and replaced some of them even though they still had a little life left in them they just seems like theyve been through it. I had just got a new battery days prior and had someone come out and check it to make sure it was good. That amd the alternator were both okay. And I think I may have just blown a fuse but it must be a fuse Idk how to check or maybe a relay idk. But when I put the key in the windows work, wipers work, lights work..but the cars radio and the dashboard do no go on or light up at all. And there is no power or anything getting to the engine to evem allow it to try to start up. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be and how I can fix it!?!?? My buddy said I might have fried my computer but I really hope that isn't the case. What are the chances I can fix it myself?
