Good morning all,
well this is really annoying me with this car! I need help with something .ok my husband and I replaced our alternator like 3 weeks ago ,found out it was faulty so we took it back got another one and I think this one is bad too .long story short our power windows just stopped working we got another battery when we got the last alternator and windows still won't go down .when we go somewhere it can't be long distances the check brake light comes on as well as abs and battery icon .and we smell a smell it's hard to explain what it smells like .anyway when we go long ways from where we live we noticed all the lights I mentioned comes on and we pull over and cut the car off and we wait for about 5 to 10 minutes well we go to start it and it won't start.luckily we just brought one of those portable jumper kits and my husband was able to jump the car .now when that happened I had the cd player on and when those lights came on it just shut off on its own .now we have a mechanic but he says ot sounds like it's something with the charging system or electrical issues .we had the fuses checked and they seem to be ok .and the battery we first had in the car had corrosion on it bad so it was cleaned off and eventually replaced but my question is what can be wrong ?? I have ppl telling us different things I personally feel that it could be a sensory issue because also our gas hand stopped working and our speedometer as well but I'm not a mechanic .I'm trying to get the car fixed when we can afford it but I just need help trying to figure out if it could be the alternator. Maybe this one is faulty as well .idk I don't have the money to go to a repair shop right now .oh and we did go to auto zone and had an obd scan done and wouldn't u know it no codes came up .what can possibly be wrong with our car ???
