I have a 2007 Haundai Sante Fe. I am trying to change the oil filter. It has the 3.3 litre engine and the oil filter canister is located on the top of the engine. I have read several ways to open the canister, some the cap bolts on, others has a standard filter on the oil pan. this one seems to unscrew but cannot find this method of taking the lid off. It is really tight. Does this take a special wrench, and which way does it unscrew. There is no after market manuals of this year yet.

 

Unscrew the black plastic cap... pretty simple.

Just make sure the cap is screwed all way down so flange mates with top of canister.
