Default Sante Fe on the hook

A week or so ago I posted a thread for a P0171 CEL code. I took the car to the dealer and they diagnosed the problem to be a bad purge canister valve. They replaced it and cleared the code. Two days later (today) the CEL came back on and shortly afterwards I lost all throttle response. I coasted off the road and as the car was still idling I tried to run the revs up with no success. I called Hyundai roadside assistance and they sent me a tow. The car was turned off and while I was waiting for the truck I started it again. The CEL was still there but I had throttle again. So it's at the dealer now and tomorrow they'll look at it again. I'll let you know what the next "fix" is.

Dealer replaced the Throttle Position Sensor. They said it is an improved version. Time will tell.

Should have replace TPS, and updated PCM...

Read the invoice slowly and make sure..

Quite common.. all you had to do was shut it off, then restart, and been on your way most of the time.. then you would not have to wait for the tow.

I called roadside 1 time, what a joke, I hung on up on them.

I checked out the invoice and the TPS was replaced and the ECM was updated.
