Slow starting 2013 Santa Fe
My Santa Fe is lately very slow to start, especially if not started for a while or in cold temperatures.
The starter turns over fine but it is taking 3-4 seconds for engine to start. Subsequent starting during the day after the initial slow start are fine - engine turns over immediately. 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.4l 115k.

This is an old thread which no one responded to..
I would try turning the key to the on position several times (do not crank engine)
This should prime the fuel rail
Then start engine.
If it starts up easy and quickly then the fuel pressure is being released as the vehicle sits for a while.
What causes it will need to be determined
If no change then would take out spark plugs for inspect for widening of gap
If coil over plugs then inspect boots of coils for spots where spark could have crossed through.
