Recently purchased a 2001 Hyundai Sante Fe. About a week ago I noticed a change in the transmission when it is kicking into 3rd gear. It will get to about 30mph and it will jerk into gear. Is my transmission going bad? Thanks in advance! -Anika

 

im afraid you might have fault there. the hyundai auto box has a fail safe where it will select 3rd gear for safe drive mode.you can tell this if it lurches when it goes into 3rd. this is usualy caused by the input output sensors.
