Hi all,

I have an 04 that broke down last night. I was over at my mom's house and I was warming it up (it was idling) when it got real hot and steaming and leaking. I shut it off to let it cool down. My step dad looked at found it leaking something. Then he said he looked into the oil fill cap and saw anti freeze in the place where you put oil into. Sounds like a major issue?? Head gasket??

Anyone have any ideas??


I am really in trouble as I still owe 3 years payment on this can.....

 

Does sound like a blown HeadGasket..
Pull out the dip stick and see if it looks like foamy oil on it and report back...

So is it really hard to change a head gasket on a Sonata if i buy one of those repair manuals??

 

It's not a DIY job for sure. Most likely the head is warped or cracked as well. Should be under warranty, right?
