Gents;
Have a 2007 Sonata with the 2.4 engine and 5 speed manual transmission. I don't drive it much any more but when I do it's to see my sister in Florida. On my recent trip the cruise control went out. The green dash light will come on but you can't actuate it with the button,....you don't know how much you utilize cruise until it goes out. Anyway, I replaced the steering wheel switch but it still does not work, Next, I ordered a new clock spring that will be here in about a week. I have a feeling the new clock spring won't remedy the problem either. I suspect there is something going on with the actuator in the engine compartment. However, for the life of me I cannot locate it. And strangely, I cannot find any diagrams or for that matter much information anywhere on the net relating to 2007 Hyundai cruise. Have any of you gents run into issues with your cruise control and could give me a hand? Thanks my friends

 

I did some more investigating, still can't find info though. I.Iooked closer at the throttle body. The car has that annoying 'fly by wire' accelerator.. There is what appears to be a stepper motor on the T-body. I suspect the stepper motor is controlled by the car's stepper on the gas pedal and also the computer which is set by the cruise..... but I'm guessing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
