Am in the process of removing the fuel tank on our Sonata. Does anyone know how to remove the "recirculation line" on the tank? It is the line labeled "B" on my attached diagram. The filler hose "A" has a standard hose clamp on it, but I am not sure how the smaller recirculation line is removed. It almost looks like you squeeze it in, but I am not sure. You would have thought that they would have put a hose clamp on that line, but nope lol.
Now that I see the diagram a little closer it does look like you just squeeze in those two tabs and I think it will come right off. Can anyone verify this? Thanks
Something to consider, remove the fuel pump fuse or relay when the engine is idling and allow the engine to stop by removing any pressure in the fuel line.. Now it would be safe to see if removal is as you suspect. Don't forget to replace what you removed or you will have a problem getting it started when done..
