Okay so i own a 2001 Sonata Base w/2.4L engine. My clutch is going out according to everyone I have talked to the comes with a dual mass flywheel. I am looking to convert to a single mass flywheel (about 1000 dollars cheaper than an OE Dual mass), so here is where my problem is. According to the Hyundai dealership the flywheel and clutch kit's should be the same for any Sonata manufactured between NOV of 98 and June of 02. However every parts store and website I have visited tells me that they are different and not compatible. If any one has gone through the same ordeal I would be very appreciative for any advice or insight.
