Engine cranks won't start
Had to be towed to the dealer. Long story short, If the battery has less than about 150 cold cranking amps, out of a possible 700, The fuel pump is inhibited from turning on.
It's oviousely designed that way. So check your battery once in a while. The starter probably pulls 90 Amps and i guess that just doesn't leave enough current for the digital stuff to run on reliably.
The dealer says you could jumpstat the car with battery cables to get it going. At that point, It's new battery time.
This was a 2011 sonata with 57000. Battery was 3.5 years old. It cranked the engine so strong, I never would have suspected it was even slightly week. It tested 12.9 volts and had 138 cca.
