I just purchased a 205/65/16R tire mounted on a plain painted-steel rim, the same tire as came on my new 2011 Sonata GLS M/T (minus the TPS stem and silver wheel cover). With the three little glued-in bolsters that supported the Sonata temporary spare in the well all pried out (not difficult), the full-size spare JUST fits the spare tire well without raising the trunk floor cover. Of course there isn't room for the plastic foam tool tray, which I have just pushed up forward on the trunk floor.
