Default Leaking fuel Vacuum Module

I have a 2000 V6 Sonata and over a few weeks have smelt petrol so i checked around and found that a small vacuum line running off the side of the intake manifold to what looks like a vacuum module connected to a fuel line. The line had perished and was squirting out petrol from the vacuum module(but only at start up because i use LPG.so it auto starts on petrol then changes to LPG) Now has the rubber inside perished and what does this vacuum module actually do?? Thanks

It is called a "Fuel Pressure Regulator"... the diaphram is leaking fuel. Replace it before it gives engine more of direct injection and flood motor, either rich or hydro-lock...

Lightbulb fuel odor

I have a 2000 Sonata also. I just caught a faint whiff of gas a few times so I looked under the car and saw my fuel tank only has one strap holding it onto the bottom of my car. lol. I have been hearing a thumping noise which i thought was the rear driver side shock mount. However, I now think it might be my gas tank banging around instead. Anyway , I thought you might do well to check that out too. I am gonna look at my fuel pressure regulator too.
