Hi all! I just purchased a new/used 2009 hyundai sonata se v6. so they list it as that. how do i know if this is a 2009 249 hp motor or the 2008 234 hp motor? and how do i know this is a 2009 and not a 2008? car has only 6000 miles on it and the carfax report listed this car as being owned buy plannet hyndai in las vegas and no one else.when i checked the manufactured date it says 3/18/2008. any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

If it's listed as a 2009 why would you think it's a 2008? Model years and calendar years are not the same.

Check the 10th digit of your VIN (8=2008, 9=2009):
