Default P0304 code and squeaking sound

2001 hyundai sonata gls v6 automatic...

i've had this code before i've changed the intermediate pipe thinking it was the problem with the gas. So everytime i pump gas and i try to start the key i have to give the car some gas to even get it to crank if i don't hold the gas and let it idle it will cut off. with that being said purge valve, spark plugs, and coils have been replaced as well as the mass air.

if anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it and i'm looking up all types of solutions just hoping someone has found the solution to this problem.

i also have another problem when i put my car in reverse it squeaks when i am backing up? i have a video of the sound as well if needed i just don't know how to add videos sorry

MiyishaB:
This code means there is a misfire in cylinder 4. the most likely reason is a bad spark plug and /or ignition coil.
there are other potential causes but I would start with taking out the sparkplugs unless you recently put in new ones.

Alright I took it to the dealership and they found 2 other codes one pertaining to the air filter being dirty and I believe the carburetor as well they unclogged that and changed the Spark plugs and the wires as well and I had a valve cover gasket leak as well. Thank you everyone for the help.

2001 Sonatas do not have carburetors. They are electronically fuel injected.
Cleaning the in-take plenum and all its parts could be considered like cleaning the carburetor??
So is it running any better??

Yes it is no fluttering how it used to the only problem I still have is I can't get it to crank when I fuel up I have to put my foot on the brake and my right one on the gas and then turn the switch while giving it gas. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding about the carburetor not too good with cars just basic things

I know you said you changed the purge valve.
But, sometimes it is the solenoid controlling the valve that causes the problem?
Only a guess.
Wish you good luck in fixing it.

PS, I only mentioned the Sonata not having a carburetor is that I want you to sound like you know your car when you go see a mechanic.
Hopefully, this way they won't try to BS you on how to fix the car.

Crank is the engine turning.
The engine may not start.
This would be called "a crank, no start problem"

If the engine doesn't even turn
Then it is called a "no crank, no start problem"

Each has a different cause for not starting.
