Default Satellite antenna?

Does anyone know if the factory satellite antenna on the 2008 Sonata plugs into the back of the radio via the Motorola type plug or is it separate from the broadcast antenna entering via a wiring harness? The reason I am asking is I am changing to a new radio and satellite receiver and need to source adapters for the antenna. If possible I would like to continue using the existing xm antenna. Sorry if this question has been asked a hundred times. Any help is much appreciated.
