Default Sonata V6 engine swap 3.3 for 3.8

Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to swap the standard 3.3 V6 in a Sonata for the 300 hp 3.8 V6 out of the Genesis?
If so, how easy would this be to do?
Thanks

Anything is possible given enough time and money. Personally, I think it's a waste of both.

Both engines are the same size externally but getting the computer to work is the real problem. I don't see the benefit of going through the effort and cost.

Forgive me if this seems a bit simple but can't you just swap the ECU and/or the wiring loom?

Not sure if you noticed but the Genesis is a RWD and the Sonata is FWD. Huge difference in the computer and wiring harness. It's not as simple as unplugging one and replacing it with another.

I think using a 3.8L from a FWD Azera, Veracruz or Entourage would be easier since it's already setup for a FWD platform.
