I just purchased a 2001 automatic Tiburon. The shifter plate had some nasty scratches, therfore I am changing it. How do I remove the shifter **** (automatic)to slide in the new plate?

REMOVAL

a. Remove the console box assembly.[/align]
b. Remove the **** installation screws.[/align]
c. Disconnect the overdrive switch connector, remove the 3 connector pins from connector with small driver, and then remove selector **** assembly.[/align]

d. Disconnect the position indicator light connector.[/align]
e. Remove the shift lever indicator assembly.[/align]
