Hi my Trajet has an issue where the tailgate open light stays on the dashboard when the tailgate is closed but goes off when it is open. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution as it drains the battery daily. Thank you.

 

How does the tailgate light behave ? Same strange way ?
I'd suspect either some switch error a the gat lock or some broken/shorted cable at the hinge.
Remove the trim and inspect.
