Default Rust on Tailgate

I went to wash my 2010 Touring this afternoon and noticed two spots that were starting to rust. The worst is on the driver's side on the flat area just under the window. The visible portion is only about the size of the head of a pin but it's started forming a paint bubble, making me think the rust may be more extensive. The other looks more like a small crack in the paint and is about 2" below the first. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thoughts? I plan to take the car to the dealer later in the week.

I stopped by the dealer on the way home this evening and they said it would be covered under warranty!

Good to know warranty will cover this. I just discovered rust on the same surface, on the passenger side on my '11.

Mine turned out to be tree sap. It certainly looked like the clear coat was breaking open and a rust spot formed but after buffing, it looks great.
