2022 Tuscon Clicking Noise from Drivers Side Seatbelt Column
For several months, I have been dealing with a random "click" noise from the drivers side seatbelt column on my 2022 Tuscon Hybrid. I have had this in the dealer several times, and they even replaced a part in that area to try to rectify the issue. Unfortunately, the issue and sound remains, with no apparent solution. What makes this even more annoying is that randomness of the sound, which comes and goes at times. I currently have a call into Hyundai corporate about this, but it seems that no one is able to figure this out. Frankly, this is completely unacceptable and a distraction for my while driving. I really need to figure out a way to get this fixed, but I was wondering if someone else might know the cause of this, and what can be done to fix this permanently. Any thoughts or insight on this would be so much appreciated. This is one of several issues I have had with this car, and I am honestly rather disappointed in this vehicle.
Unfortunately, I have no answer… but just wanted to say I know the annoying click you’re dealing with, I have the same problem with my 2017 Tucson. It comes and goes and it Drives. Me. Crazy. I’ve yet to find someone who can figure it out and the answers I’ve gotten range from something loose in my dash to engine failure soon. So… not sure what to make of that 😭
Something you might try,
If it will produce the clicking sound when running and vehicle parked , see if you can be more specific as to where the sound is loudest.
Once you have determined as close as possible, now give that info to the technician..
. Believe me , when a customer does a little checking that helps, it makes the whole job easier and also contributes to getting the problem fixed sooner.
