Car Alarm/Locking Door
Hi All,
New member here and first post. Hope everyone is having a good day. I just got a 2011 Hyundai Tucson about a month ago and really enjoying it so far. Roomier then my last car and a nicer ride too.
Here is my issue, hope someone can help.
Starting today, maybe yesterday, sporadically when I would double lock the doors with the key fob the horn would not beep. I believe when it does not beep that indicates that it is sensing something is not closed properly. I checked the doors and they were all locked and not opening. I even opened and closed them all to make sure and it was still not beeping. Additionally, 2 times (that I noticed) today the alarm went off for no reason. When the car is running, nothing indicates anything is open. Do the sensors that indicate door and hood open also supply the security system with the open/closed information or are there separate sensors for the security system. Also, how would one go about testing the sensors? I think one may be failing or failed and I don't want my alarm randomly going off especially if I am not around.
Thank you,
Tim
