You're probably right.
I guess it's a general mistake on a lot of the websites.

Another one states:
9.2 litres per 100km / highway fuel consumption not provided

This article states that it's 9.2 litres per 100km, but doesn't say if it's City or Highway.

Hello all

I have recently purchased a second hand 2005 Tucson CRDi 4WD Automatic.
When I did my research on the vehicle it stated that this vehicle would do a mixed travel economy of between 8 & 10 litres per 100kms.
However at present it manages at best 11 to 11.6.
Is this normal and my research was wrong? Or is something wrong?

Thank you very much.

Change/ renew ALL the filters, clean the MAF and use 2 bottles of injector cleaner on a nice long run.

When purchasing a second hand car it is advisable to service that vehicle before running any tests. Change spark plugs and filters and make sure all belts are fine and in good condition.
Driving habits are the one item that drive fuel consumption higher or lower, avoid hard acceleration, quick stops and racing. The use of the aircon takes fuel. A light foot on the accelerator is basically the only control you have.
Good luck.
