HVAC Fan works on 1 and 2 off on 3 and 4
So I replaced the blower motor resistor and tried a new motor. No change what so ever. Any ideas on where to go from here? I am about to take the control panel out to inspect it, and if I knew what fuses were for it I would check them. Hate to have to pull ALL of them and look at each of course. This is for a 2015 Hyundai Tuscon GLS with the 2.0, it does not have automatic climate control, it is manual temp control. Concerned this might need the wife to take it in, I am starting to run out of options that I know to work on. Also no codes in OBDII

Unplug the switch.
You should get continuity from at least 2 terminals for every position selected except OFF.
You can also reinstall the plug and with the key on, connect the meter's ground probe to a good ground, then with the positive probe check for voltage coming out of at least 2 terminals of every selected position except OFF.. The voltage reading should be in the area of 12 volts.
When the key is turned on power should be available to one terminal all the time. Sometimes the back of the switch will have a letter at the terminal, like B for battery , OR I for ignition.
As you know , changing the position of the switch directs power to the selected position.

Well continuity did not work at all but I did a DC test and get a little power on all and good on the working ones. I pull the control panel out of the dash and tested leads off the ****. I get 0 continuity on 4 but get good continuity on 2 across 2 leads. I am pretty sure that means the fan dial is bad. In theory I can just replace it, if I can find one. Worst case the entire panel. I will do some searches but if anyone knows a place that has them please let me know.

ErylFlynn, How about you consider the following?
Call your local Hyundai dealership parts dept, tell them what you are looking for and if they have it, how much $$.
Now you have some idea of availability and approx cost.
If you have the time and want to shop around , by all means why not?
At least you know where you can obtain one right away if necessary.
What do you think?

I plan to call them tomorrow. I can get the whole panel for 318 plus tax and shipping. Will see what they can do for me. Would like to just get a dial/switch but not finding that alone out there. I know it can come off and be replaced, took the case off and inspected it all.

When folks don't know how to determine the exact cause of a problem, they sometimes take the "Shotgun approach", replacing everything when it is not necessary.
If you suspect the switch, why not ask the parts dept if that is available separately ? Most times it is..

I want to add, even though a bit late that the dial was the problem. I ordered off EBay a full panel and it came in good enough shape I just swapped it in and all started working fine. Given how hard it was to get solid info, felt it would be good to put it on the record what solved the issue.
