Default sport setting in the transmition

Hi all

I have been noticing some issue when towing my atv in a trailer. I usualy like to put it in sport mode so I can down shift going up hills. I noticed on my last trip that I was in 4th and then put it down to 3rd going up a hill and was starting to slow down but had the pedal floored. It was not reving up at all. I can down shift it to 2nd and floor it and it still won't rev up and stays at about 2500 rpm??? I took it to the dealer and they put it on the computer and nothing showing so they tell me its ok! I also find that at times on the highway with no trailer and in automatic, it tends to shift late. Anyone else have these issues? Would changing the oil to synthetic make a difference?

thanks in advance

In typical Craigslist fashion --> year, make, model, engine ?

In most respects, transmission is a box of stuff,,, only does what controller tells it to do, so the oil change really wont do anything, unless oil looks like it black from age/miles.

Answer the first line, as I have idea, but need info to support my thoughts

Yeah, Rotax, you need to give us more info in your posts. However, I did search on your other posts and found this post that should answer sbr711's questions:

The only mods I have done so far is synthetic oil and yellow amber bulbs in my fog lens.
BTW, I'm moving this from the General Forum to the Tucson Forum.

Tucson 2.7.. thoughts no good. 2.7 in Tucson has cable pulled throttle, I was thinking along lines of Delphi TPS and the faults we see quite regular.

can check to see if this tucson ,if a 2008 2.7 ,has factory installed cruise control,
if so check the adjustment on the cable from cruise unit to throttle as some times they will be to tight and and give incorrect tps readings which in turn can cause trans shifting concerns
usually this will start happening when engine mounts start to sag slightly creating the cable adj to become tighter
