Default Low engine rumble on acceleration

On my 05 tucson 2.7 there is a low rumble coming from the front, like an exhaust leak, but only on acceleration and couldn’t locate a leak. I did notnotice it until I had a shop change my timing belt and water pump. Has anyone had this happen before? Or anyone know the reason?

You could always go back to the shop that did the work and ask them what they did to create this problem.

I did that. The mechanic said everything sounded normal. I pointed out the noise and vibration. He replied that this is how things sound as it wears. Normally I trust this mechanic very much. I have known him for years, but lately it seems he is getting a bit sloppy with his timing. Makes me feel he may rush jobs he shouldn’t
