Aloha from The Big Island!
Got some charging issues on a 2016 Sonata after alternator and battery change. Old alternator had bad diode causing parasitic loss and dead battery after a few days. Bought new Denso alternator and was showing 14.3 volts going to battery. After letting the car run for about an hour in an attempt to charge the battery, it wouldn't get above 10.5 volts. Had battery tested and showed bad cell. Purchased new battery at Oreilley's. Now the alternator won't charge. Took the alternator back out and had it bench tested. Tested good. Took the new battery to have it tested. Tested good. The battery light in the cluster has started flashing as soon as the key is turned to the run position. Strange part is it doesn't flash consistently, flashes a random number of times. It will flash twice, then 4 times then maybe 12 times then 6 times. I have checked all the fuses with a multi meter and they are good. Connections are not corroded. No DTC codes on my D8 scanner.
Can anyone help me please?!
Thanks!
