Default Prospective Accent Owner/Am I making a terrible decision

Heyo,

Today I just sold off my old first car, a Jeep Wrangler in the search for something small and simple that doesn't chug gas, and actually is an enclosed vehicle. In my search for a replacement, I found a 2003 Accent Hatchback on Autotrader that looks promising to me. I'm almost set on buying it and nothing else. I'd always wanted a Hyundai as my next car, since they seem simple and bulletproof, maybe even the potential for some modding since it'd be lame and unique, which would be awesome.

So, the one I found? Looks great. The one catch, is that it's 171,000 miles.

Looks like it was regularly maintained and cared for when I checked the carfax but ya probably don't know unless I check it out and drive it myself. And if it sucks, hey, why not get a car that makes a mechanic out of me?

So, similar experiences with other people? Am I walking into something I shouldn't? Anyone else got something close to or past 200k? I kinda feel like trying to push it as far as possible just for the hell of it.
