My daughters new car had a transmission failure under 10k km. In research I find this new IPT has many failures listed on the NHTSA site most reporting very similar safety concerns as failure can lead to sudden failure to drive. My daughters happened in the middle of an intersection.
the dealer response was you get a brand new transmission we responded we already had a brand new transmission?

Yes the car has 5 year 100,000 km warranty but we want to know that defect has been addressed or is this an inherent problem likely to be repeated many times until warranty expires?
Hyundai need to own up to their problem and be specific about when and how it has been fixed?
we intend to get answers or insist on additional coverage for 10 years 160,000 km similar to USA cars!
