Default I hope i didn't ruin my engine.

I was changing my timing belt on my 2002 hyundai accent. I removed the timing belt. Next i tried to remove the spocket on the camshaft (I don't know why i tried this in the first place). I ended up turning the camshaft counterclockwise a little. What should I do? Should I turn it clockwise a little or turn the crank counterclockwise to even it out. I hope I didnt' ruin my valves. Please help.

i just bought my 02 accent and dont know particulars, but in most cases thereis amark on the cam sprocket, usually alittle dot. put the first piston to TDC, timed right the dots should be on the bottom of each sprocket. hope this helps.

the camshaft has 2 marks on it and if you look at the inside of the cam sprocket it says up. those 2 marks should line up with the cylinder head with that UP mark facing up.
