hi

also my front windscreen and side ones mist up very easily when driving and the air lower doesn't seem to blow high up enough to sort it so i use a cloth and then it isn't clear

electric window dirvers side cable broken - any idea how easy and expensive to replace system

If your windshield is misting up, it's possible your heater core is leaking fluid. Is your antifreeze low? As far at your broken window, it depends if the window is physically broken or the electric motor is not working.

 

will check anti freeze - just seems the air does not blow high enough up the window to demist it

i opened the door - the cable has broken but the motor works - looks like a horrendous job to attempt..

 

got a repair kit (pulley etc) for electric window but given there is no haynes manual for an atoz does anyone know how to get the system out of the door!?

i took the panel off and could not work it out

Take the other side apart and see how it works. It will guide you on how it works.

 

that doesn't solve the problem which is HOW to get the system out of the door in the first place!!!!

 

When you say the "cable is broken", do you mean the electric wires going to the motor?

 

This is the diagram from an Accent here in the US. Does your Getz look like this?

 

no i mean the cable is broken - i have a replacement kit
