Default Shudder when turning.

2009 Azera limited with 130k miles

For the past couple of months I've been noticing a strange Shudder when turning to the left at show speeds. Feels like an old 4x4 in a turn. Strange thing is, there's no noise like the cv joints usually make when going out. I noticed it today going to the right as well.

I know i probably need to replace the struts and shocks but not sure that's this issue.

Let me know your thoughts before i start playing the guessing game on parts replacement.

From what you describe, it sounds like it might be coming from the steering system. Since steering is common to both directions , i would suggest to have someone check out the steering system.

Good point. It was only on the left turn at first, just noticed it going right yesterday.

What kind of checks can I do to see if it is in steering? I don't notice anything on the wheel. The feeling is more in the vibration in the floor boards. It feels like tires skipping instead of rolling in the turn. I know that makes no sense..

Thanks for your time,

Some rack and pinion steering units used to do that when cold and had to be replaced. It was called "Morning sickness"
