Default Cruise Control Problems

Just posting to see if anyone else has experienced the same problem as I am currently having. Everytime I put on the flasher to change lanes my cruise control cancels on me. Has anyone had this problem in the past and if so can you please advise what the solution was? If anyone else has any ideas I would appreciate any feedback.

Is this a short in my local wiring or a computer problem?

Thanking all in advance for the feedback.

This may seem strange but have the brake light switch checked/replaced:

Default More Info

Just to add a little bit more information

I am driving a 2005 Santa Fe 2.7L V6.
Can you please advise where I might find the brake light switch on the vehicle? I will take a look at it. I do live in a highly corrosive area (Quebec Canada).

It attached above the brake pedal. See this ethread: https://www.hyundaiforum.com/forum/h...860/#post41525

It's a recall so let a dealer replace it for free.

Yes I see that it was recalled for the Tucson but not the Santa Fe. It might be a hard sell for a vehicle over 7 years old with over 250,000 kms (150,000 miles). I now see the link between the brakes and the cruise controls and for the price of a switch it is definitely worth a try

thanks
