2001 Sonata - Alarm preventing it from starting...ideas ?

Daughter borrowed car.
Apparently did something wrong with 'fob' to set off alarm.
Does not start.
Alarm keeps going off.
All other lights & radio appear to be working fine.

Turn key - engine does not start - alarms go off.

Would like to have alarms shut off & be able to start car...and drive it back home...

Help, please.

THX !

Do you have the keyless remote? You need to turn the alarm off by unlocking the car with the keyless remote.

Thats easy...

Open door and shove key in cylinder with alarm going off to the RUN position and wait... this alarm cycle is "interupted"... wait for alarm to make cycle again (dont touch anything or interupt this cycle)...

When alarm stop, turn key to start car.

You must have locked car with remotem abd opened door with key.. or remote is dead (battery or RF signal)

Lock car with remote, module has to see remote unlock car, or else it thinks it is being broke into,,, later cars have switch on door key cylinder to tell module entry is valid entry with key..

Get car started, leave remote at home, and use key to lock & unlock same as cars of past..
