Default Performance Chip?

Has anyone had any experience with the "Performance" chips that are available aftermarket? They claim to increase both HP and MPG...

I would stay away from those. They will do more harm than good. Their main function is to separate you from your hard earned money.

Most aren't real chips anyway. They are usually just resistors designed to trick the computer into thinking the engine is running cooler than it really is and then making the fuel mixture richer. Don't do it.
