Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy my friend's 2003 Tiburon SE. He recently blew the tranny (locked it in 2 gears, forks broke, hole on the side of the housing).

Anyways, we were talking about swapping another tranny in it, and we discussed how the 5 speed transmission from a 2.0L Elantra should swap in without problems, only difference being that the Elantra has long gear ratios.

I'd like to know if this is true.

I gots 2 Elantra trans for parts..... 1 had 2nd gear clash, other has bearing noises...

I dont remember which trans is which,, sat at work, then got brought home, cases is fine, but you'll need to set all your shaft and differential endplay/preloads to case
