Default Fuel pump in the tank???

2014 2.4l gdi with a high pressure pump on top, but does it also have a lift pump in the tank? If not, why is there a fuel pressure relay, and what is in the tank opening on top? The car died while driving today. No codes were thrown. I suspect fuel pump, but cannot find a sure way to verify the high pressure pump is out. My car has the lifetime engine warranty. Anyone know if a fuel pump is covered?

A capable scan tool is required to diagnose fuel pressure. Hi press pump when operating correctly can produce pressures in excess of 3000 psi and can be dangerous to work on without the proper equip.

I pulled it. It's a pump. Dealer want $800+. Internet wants $370. After getting numbers and digging, I found the part numbers below.

Pump assembly is 31110-2s600. The pump itself is 311112w050. Under $30!!!!!
