Default 2016 veloster turbo problem

I have a 2016 VELOSTER TURBO AUTO that we bought new w less than 5 miles on the odo. Now the car has about 35K on the clock.
Starting about a yr ago, we started having issues.

We'd be driving at various speeds, in different grades, when all of a sudden, there is zero acceleration. The car will down/up shift, but will not accelerate.
Most of the time its when the GF is driving, but it happened to me once.
I was climbing up ECHO SUMMIT about 60 - 70 mph. It went into its retard mode and wouldn't accelerate. After cresting the summit and getting down to the bottom of the grade, I decided to pull over and shut off the car. After waiting just a couple of seconds, I re-started it and had no further problems that day.

The car has been to 2 different dealers without solving the problem.
The 1st dealer claimed to do a software upgrade and the problem went away for 6 - 8 months before returning. The same dealer then claimed to find a bad solenoid for the turbo wastegate. The problem returned.

Hyundai has been of little help. 1 dealer claimed that Hyundai had a "MASTER TECH' that they would reach out to. But they claimed that because they could not re-create the problem that they wouldn't waste his time.

We are at the point of not even driving the car for fear of it causing an accident, and adding miles and getting the car out of the warranty.

Thoughts from the collective?

I can;t tell from here if your vehicle has an electronic throttle body, but if it does, it sounds like it is going into "safe" mode. Again , don't know if it has ETC (electronic throttle control). Sometimes the accelerator pedal positioners (2) act up and will cause the system to not respond to accelerator position.

Sounds like you still have vehicle under warranty
Take to dealer and have them fix it.

Watch the tach next time it happens. The NU motors had issues with crank sensors. Almost never set a code either
