Replacing Turbo on Santa-Fe 2005 2.0 diesel
Hi there, I`m Ben from Norway, and i got a 2005 Santa-Fe 2.0 SM Diesel (125HP) and my turbo need replacement.. I bought a Brand new Alanko turbo, from a friend who has a 2.2l regular gasoline engine, 2007. but he said it would fit.. well, i got a hell of a problem; the new turbo is a bit bigger, and did fit on the exhaust-manifold on my engine, but it didnt fit with the bend to the exhaust-pipe, i have bought now a bend that will fit 2 my exhaust.. But i get several different messages from different places, some mechanics say it will fit ,and some say it wont fit.. All in all; i really need help, tips and directions from someone that have done this in the past.. Is there anyone out there who can help me with Best way to replace turbo on 2005 santa-fe, and if its suitable to replace a new turbo from a 2.2litre engine to a 2.0 engine? And if not, how can i proceed without spending to much money? (i already spent about 500 euros on turbo and bend, that i might not b able to use..) well, i hope anyone can help.. Sincerely Ben from Norway.

If you have to start altering things, you have the wrong replacement part.
If you start changing things , you are looking for addl problems up the road.
Suggest you get the right part , install it and know it was done right.
