Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

$270 later and my buddy got his car back Friday with a pin replaced on the bottom of the fuse box. No material; all labor.

Saturday morning the car wouldn't start in his driveway...

Back to basics, again
Fuel, air, spark, timing, exhaust, compression

I'm sorry it wasn't fixed

Apparently the pin became loose again, arced and burned out the connection. The dealer is now ordering a new fuse/relay box to replace the OEM unit as the female socket is not correct.

That's a $500 part, when looking online. The dealer is charging $630 and applying the previous amount as a credit.

Doesn't the dealer back up their work??

Well, that isn't great news
But, it is better news that the car will be fixed.
Thank for the update!!

As a $270 credit... I negotiated a free loner car until the new fuse box came in.

Overall, we're pleased with the dealer, not the car. Who ever replaces this part?

It happens sometimes due to corrosion
But, the mechanic usually goes looking for a junkyard or second hand one
They are much cheaper.

Car would not start again. Owner checked the connector to the fuel pump (seat was still removed) and found that the connector was not snapped in. After properly connecting the plug, the car started.

Hmmm...

The car started today, two days in a row!

My buddy will not sell the car. He'll drive it into the ground or wait for it to be totaled.

Good luck to him...
