Unhappy 2014 hyundai Santa fe sport 2.0T AWD

I was driving on highway and heard like tire bursting sound and all the sudden I couldn’t accelerate fast enough like before. So next day i took it to the mechanic. he says I don't see any oil in engine its out of oil and says its with all Hyundai's that it burns oil faster. is it true ? So he said you just need to Top off some oil so I came home because I have my own oil so once I got home I'll top off half gallon of oil and let the car run 10-15min. Yet the same problem. I can't accelerate the same as before and i hear little hissing sound when i press the acceleration fast and the car picks up so slow like there is no turbo kicking in like before. I read some forums are saying that it would be air leakage or some hose leakage or the right amount of air is not going in engine ? I am so confused... What could cause this problem ?
