I was hoping to receive advice on a used car purchase for my 17 year old daughter as a first car. Being a VW enthusiast, I know zero about Hyundai cars.

I did not influence her choices at all, she seems to like Hyundai. She found a 2018 1.6T. It has 83K, has had 2 owners, and was a fleet car. It has a clean Car Fax report. I have not seen the car, or spoken to a salesman yet. From the pictures, it seems to be in good condition. Considering the miles, model, and year of the car is there anything I should be aware of? Is a model year later or earlier a better choice? I forgot to add, I believe the price was $12.900. I will add that prices are much higher than when we bought my oldest daughter's car a few years ago!

Most folks when purchasing a used vehicle look at the appearance, but never look under the vehicle.
A used vehicle can look beautiful on the outside, but be unsafe to drive underneath due to rust damage.

Suggest you have an experienced shop or tech check this vehicle before purchase.
