P0011 Oil Control Solenoid
P0011 code on 2006 Hyundai Sonata 2.4
Put in new cvvt, ocv, crank sensor, timing kit, water pump, mass air flow sensor, changed oil several times.
After resetting with scanner, code still appears. And shows that the cam current position doesn't change with the active position.
What else can we try? Has anyone found that replacing the oil control solenoid is unsuccessful unless you use Hyundai OEM parts?

Ouch, you hit a nerve there.
Many times OEM parts incorporate special functions that some aftermarket parts do not.
There are a lot of good aftermarket parts out there, but there are some not so good ones too.
Many imported ones are defective right out of the box.
Dealerships cannot afford comebacks so their parts USUALLY reflect that.
We try to stay with OEM if possible.

Update: There IS an oil control valve filter. Nobody seems to know about it. Even the local dealership. After hours of work, we found and replaces the filter (it was clogged) and the code is gone. Not an easy job.
