P1167 & P1166 Codes
I'm at a loss. I have a 2004 Sonata GLS, and I have been dealing with one issue after the next. I replaced my O2 sensor, due to the wire was broke, I was getting two codes of P1167 and P1166. I replaced a fuel line, checked for vacuum leaks and I'm still getting those two codes. I cleared the codes disconnected battery to reset, nothing works. The car has no power (like it use to) but the engine sounds goods. I have replaced all the sensors (crank, cam, O2, etc...) I'm stumped and could use some guidance.

When I look up the DTC, it says it is for heater circuit for the O2 sensor.
This means the voltage the O2 sensor produces does not correlate with what it should be.
The sensor could be faulty
Or, the wiring powering the heater circuit is faulty
Or, the power source and/or ground to the heater circuit is faulty
It could also be the wiring from the O2 sensor to the ECU that is faulty
The vehicle has two O2 sensors. One after the exhaust manifold
Or the downstream O2 sensor after the second catalytic converter
The DTC suggest the upper O2 sensor
And the two codes in combination together, suggest to me that there is a wiring issue
A visual inspection of wiring looms ... anything touching metal, exhaust, AC lines
