I got an 07 tib in july and just this past week my speedometer stopped working, i took it in and its the speedometer unit. they are now telling me its on back order and theres no release date for the part, it could be weeks or months they say... they really had no idea.....so i am now without a car.... i was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this or knows anyone that has.....

 

You might consider looking for this part at a salvage yard.

 

yea i was thinking of that... they've got me in a rental until it gets fixed but also i just had my cd player and system hooked up the day before this happened, has anyone heard of that causing the unit to go on the car????

 

This problem may be as simple as a harness wire unplugged from the speedometer head. I'd have that checked into before buying a new or used part.
